Engarde - PUMA™ Anti-Stab Vest | Navy Blue
The EnGarde® PUMA™ in navy blue is a load-bearing anti-stab jacket for security, transit and corrections staff, law enforcement transport crews and tow and recovery operators. Navy sits easily with dark uniform trousers and duty belts, and the casual jacket profile pairs with TITANSKIN™ Teijin Aramid panels rated NIJ 0115.00 Level 1 (the US National Institute of Justice stab resistance standard) for blade and spike protection.
Five pockets carry the daily kit: a dedicated radio pocket, a mini-flashlight pocket, two magazine pouches and a zippered pocket for documents or valuables. A reinforced drag handle is built in for rapid extraction of personnel. Side openings allow breathability and quick adjustment over layers or a duty belt, and an internal waistband keeps the jacket secured to the body during movement.
Stab resistant, not stab proof. Protection applies to the tested threats and energy levels, and no vest guarantees protection against every attack.

What does NIJ-0115.00 Level 1 Blade and Spike protection actually mean?
The NIJ-0115.00 Level 1 certification means the armour has been rigorously tested to stop common street threats, including knives, broken glass, and improvised spikes like needles. Our EnGarde vests use ultra-thin TITANSKIN™ panels made from Teijin Aramid to absorb and safely distribute the impact of up to 24 Joules of force.
Will a stab-proof vest protect me from bullets?
No. Anti-stab vests are specifically engineered to stop edged weapons and puncturing threats, not ballistic threats. However, if you require both, the EnGarde® Rhino features integrated pockets that allow you to add NIJ Level III or Level IV hard armor plates for combined ballistic and stab protection.
Which EnGarde vest is best for my profession?
It depends on your daily operational needs. Choose the DeLuxe for discreet, under-clothing concealment (ideal for executive protection). How do I wash and maintain my EnGarde vest?
Maintenance is simple. First, remove the internal TITANSKIN™ protective panels. The external fabric carrier can then be machine-washed on a gentle cycle. To clean the anti-stab panels, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth. Never machine wash, iron, or bleach the internal protective panels.
