The quilted construction locks the insulation in place for consistent warmth distribution.
The 100% polyester plain weave shell and 100% nylon ripstop lining are both treated with a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish that sheds light rain, snow, and surface moisture - keeping the insulation dry and lofted. A full-zip front with chin guard prevents zipper irritation against the neck, while an adjustable shock cord hem seals in warmth and blocks drafts at the waist. Storage is built in: hidden zipper hand pockets and a chest pocket handle EDC essentials, while an internal dump pocket with stretch binding provides additional secure storage. The whole vest packs into its own included stuff sack for go-anywhere convenience - throw it in a pack, kit bag, or vehicle console until you need it.
