Powertac at Tacsource
TacSource is the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor for PowerTac. The range covers compact EDC lights like the E3R Nova and M5 Gen3, high-output torches like the E9 Gen5 and Warrior Gen5, adjustable-beam FlexBeam lights, the Huntsman XLT long-throw spotlight and the Explorer HL-10 headlamp, plus filters, holsters, batteries and charging cables. Brisbane stock ships within 24 hours.

Which Torch or Flashlight Should I Buy?
Match the torch to how you'll use it, then compare brands and sizes.
Compact EDC torches, like the PowerTac E3R Nova keychain light, M5 Gen3 and 5.11 EDC PL 1AAA, suit pockets, work bags and vehicles. For regular work and security use, the PowerTac E9 Gen5, E11-G3 and Tradesman M6 Gen3 sit alongside the Olight ArkPro and Ledlenser P5R. Long-throw options, like the PowerTac Huntsman XLT spotlight and Olight Warrior X 4, suit lighting objects at greater distances. The FlexBeam adds an adjustable beam, and the Explorer HL-10 is the headlamp option.
Consider more than lumen output. Beam distance, battery life, size, charging method, water resistance and beam type all make a difference, and a 3,000-lumen light is not automatically the best option if you need something compact enough to carry every day.
Tactical Torches FAQ
Is there a difference between a torch and a flashlight?
Is there a difference between a torch and a flashlight?
No. They're the same thing. "Torch" is the usual term in Australia and "flashlight" is the common international term, so you'll see both across our range.
What's the difference between lumens and beam distance?
What's the difference between lumens and beam distance?
Lumens measure total light output. Beam distance measures how far the light reaches, which depends on the lens or reflector design. A long-throw torch can reach further than a higher-lumen light with a wide beam.
Are rechargeable torches better than battery torches?
Are rechargeable torches better than battery torches?
Rechargeable torches suit regular use because you recharge them instead of buying batteries. Battery-powered models, such as AA and AAA lights, suit situations where you want to swap batteries quickly. Check each product page for the battery type and charging method.
Are these torches waterproof?
Are these torches waterproof?
Water resistance varies by model and is usually shown as an IP rating. Check each product page for the rating before ordering.
