The QuikClot EMS 4x4 Dressing is a sterile, kaolin-impregnated hemostatic gauze designed for bleeding control in emergency situations. It uses a soft, white, 4-ply non-woven gauze pad impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that accelerates the body's natural clotting cascade. The formula contains no animal or human proteins and does not produce an exothermic reaction.
