Choosing the correct harness size is important for your dog’s comfort, safety and freedom of movement. A harness that is too tight may restrict movement or cause rubbing, while a loose harness can shift around or allow your dog to slip out.
TacSource stocks a wide range of tactical dog gear, including collars, leashes, pouches and accessories for everyday walks, training, working dogs and outdoor use. We also offer a dedicated range of dog harnesses designed for different activities and dog sizes.
One of our most popular options is the OneTigris AIRE Mesh Dog Harness. Before selecting a size, measure your dog’s neck, chest and back, then compare the measurements with the sizing chart on the product page.

For the most accurate fit, take three key measurements while your dog is standing naturally.
Measure around the lower part of your dog’s neck, close to where the neck meets the shoulders. This is generally lower than where a standard collar sits.
Keep the measuring tape snug, but do not pull it tightly against your dog.
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s chest, usually just behind the front legs.
Chest girth is often the most important harness measurement. Keep the tape level around your dog’s body and make sure it is not twisted.
Measure along the top of your dog’s back, starting at the base of the neck and finishing where the harness will end.
Measure in a straight line rather than following the full curve of your dog’s back.
Dogs of the same breed can have very different neck, chest and body measurements. Once you have all three measurements, compare them with the size chart provided on the harness product page.
If your dog falls between two sizes, pay particular attention to the chest measurement. You should also consider your dog’s coat thickness, body shape and whether they are still growing.
After fitting the harness, check that it remains centred, does not rub behind the front legs and allows your dog to walk, sit and lie down comfortably.
Whether you need a harness for everyday walking, training, hiking or working-dog applications, explore the complete TacSource range of dog harnesses and tactical dog gear.
